Last week's Laser coaching session was great! We discussed new businesses, marketing and audacious action. Join me tomorrow @ 12 noon Pacific, for an Ask Me Anything live on Instagram and Facebook
If you need a reason to pause, reflect & set intentions, now is a good timeSome people scoff at using New Year's or your birthday to open the can of worms that contains your achievements, missed opportunities, goals, and deferred dreams. Rituals and rites-of-passage were incredibly significant to people in ancient cultures (many still practice today). In letting these fall by the wayside, I think we have deprived ourselves of the repeated chance to acknowledge milestones, rewire the way we BE in the world and reintroduce ourselves in an expanded way. Reader, I'm encouraging you take time this weekend to use one of the following symbolic days to do exactly what I just described! Acknowledge - Rewire - Reintroduce Yourself
I'd love to know if you try one or a combination of these! Let me witness what comes through for you. In other words, reply and reintroduce yourself! Update! And then there were 3Soooo... When we were in Thailand, we told the kids that one of their first major decisions as an adult would be whether to move abroad with us or stay in California. In our family meetings, we discussed the pros and cons of both. How much it costs to live in both places, what it would be with roommates versus alone, the ease and availability of school and work, what would be required and the potential life experiences. At first, they both decided to move with us. Well, a couple of weeks ago, our son told us that he was thinking about staying (insert crying face). His first semester in college has been a beautiful experience for him: he gained a new community of striving young men, a mentor, a language arts award for his writing, new friends, and a 3.5 GPA. Woohoo! It's been a breath of fresh air for him after spending the majority of his high school career at home taking virtual classes and then traveling the world with us. He forgot he was a bit extroverted! I am super sad to have one bird leaving the nest during this transition of us leaving the country, but we are super proud of both of them for making decisions that are based on who they are, what they want for their future and what FEELS aligned for now. These choices are what I mean by having AUDACITY. It's the ability to make decisions and take action regardless of the inevitable fear, risk & challenges that come along with elevating. Keep sending us good energy and prayers, we are packing our luggage with it all!
