Acknowledge/Rewire/Reintroduce Yourself + Big Move Update

Last week's Laser coaching session was great! We discussed new businesses, marketing and audacious action. Join me tomorrow @ 12 noon Pacific, for an Ask Me Anything live on Instagram and Facebook

If you need a reason to pause, reflect & set intentions, now is a good time

Some people scoff at using New Year's or your birthday to open the can of worms that contains your achievements, missed opportunities, goals, and deferred dreams. Rituals and rites-of-passage were incredibly significant to people in ancient cultures (many still practice today). In letting these fall by the wayside, I think we have deprived ourselves of the repeated chance to acknowledge milestones, rewire the way we BE in the world and reintroduce ourselves in an expanded way.

Reader, I'm encouraging you take time this weekend to use one of the following symbolic days to do exactly what I just described!

Acknowledge - Rewire - Reintroduce Yourself

  • Juneteenth - June 19th, 1865 is officially recognized as the day freedom finally came -two and a half years later- to the more than 250,000 enslaved Black people in Texas.
    • What have you freed yourself from? How are you still chained to various ways of thinking and being? What current habits, people or environments hinder freedom making its way to you? Do you have a vision of what freedom looks like in your life? Make one!
  • Summer Solstice - June 20th marks the start of summer and longest day of the year. It can be a sacred time of renewal, celebration & frolicking in nature.
    • This is a time for letting go and making space for what you would love. Write out what you want to let go of and then burn it or let water break the paper down. Write intentions for the rest of the year and take a moment to close your eyes and visualize yourself self experiencing what you want. There's a more in-depth ritual at the bottom of this page.
    • Did you know that the Egyptian Great Pyramids of Giza were built so that the solstice sun sets between them?
  • Full moon - June 21 is a "Strawberry Moon" (originating from Native Americans, marking the short strawberry harvest season in June) and it signifies a time of change, new potential, amplified emotions and clearer desires.
    • Can you say manifestation?! I encourage you to celebrate yourself. FIND things, big & small, to write down acknowledge yourself for. This puts you in the energy of accepting more into your life.
    • Now look at your goals, how you make money and what you are on track for. Bring your courage to the forefront and reassess! Are your goals yours or somebody else's? What's the WHY behind your business or your money goals? Are your goals & actions in alignment?
    • Ask yourself, how will I know when I achieve my goals? What will it look and feel like? Envision it!

I'd love to know if you try one or a combination of these! Let me witness what comes through for you. In other words, reply and reintroduce yourself!

Update! And then there were 3

Soooo... When we were in Thailand, we told the kids that one of their first major decisions as an adult would be whether to move abroad with us or stay in California. In our family meetings, we discussed the pros and cons of both. How much it costs to live in both places, what it would be with roommates versus alone, the ease and availability of school and work, what would be required and the potential life experiences. At first, they both decided to move with us. Well, a couple of weeks ago, our son told us that he was thinking about staying (insert crying face).

His first semester in college has been a beautiful experience for him: he gained a new community of striving young men, a mentor, a language arts award for his writing, new friends, and a 3.5 GPA. Woohoo! It's been a breath of fresh air for him after spending the majority of his high school career at home taking virtual classes and then traveling the world with us. He forgot he was a bit extroverted! I am super sad to have one bird leaving the nest during this transition of us leaving the country, but we are super proud of both of them for making decisions that are based on who they are, what they want for their future and what FEELS aligned for now.

These choices are what I mean by having AUDACITY. It's the ability to make decisions and take action regardless of the inevitable fear, risk & challenges that come along with elevating. Keep sending us good energy and prayers, we are packing our luggage with it all!
